5. Language preference technologies

Aksum uses a language preference cookie called sv-locale.

This cookie stores the language selected by the user, such as English or Spanish. It helps the website and platform load in the selected language when the user returns and avoids unnecessary language switching on first load.

The same language preference may also be stored in local storage to synchronize the selected language across browser tabs.

These technologies are used only to remember the language selected by the user. They are not used for advertising, profiling, analytics or behavioral tracking.

6. Authentication and session technologies

When users access the Aksum browser-based platform, Aksum may use cookies, local storage, session storage or similar technologies to support login, user authentication, session management, account security and access control.

These technologies are strictly necessary for the platform to work. Blocking or deleting them may prevent users from logging in, staying logged in or accessing authorized areas of the platform.

Authentication and session technologies may be provided by Aksum and/or our authentication provider, currently Supabase.

Supabase may process authentication and session-related information in connection with providing database, authentication and storage services. More information about how Aksum uses service providers and handles international transfers is available in our Privacy Policy.

At the date of this Cookie Policy, Aksum does not use:

Vercel Speed Insights;

third-party marketing trackers;

If we introduce analytics, advertising, retargeting or third-party marketing technologies in the future, we will update this Cookie Policy and, where required by applicable law, request consent before using them.
